MTN FOUNDATION LAUNCHES HEROES OF CHANGE SEASON IV

MTN Ghana Foundation has launched the fourth season of one of its flagship projects, MTN Heroes of Change. The initiative identifies and honours people who through personal sacrifice brighten lives in their communities in extraordinary and impactful ways. The Foundation believes that honouring people who make personal sacrifices for the good of their community would motivate and encourage others to do same. Speaking at the Human Resource Executive of MTN Ghana, Mrs. Amma Benneh-Amponsah, said: “ We take this opportunity to once again congratulate all past MTN Heroes of Change winners for their good work. The Chief Executive Officer of MTN Ghana, Mr. Ebenezer Twum Asante, has been adjudged the Marketing Man of the Year 2016 by the Chartered Institute of Marketing Ghana (CIMG) at the 28th National Marketing Performance Awards 2016 held at the State House in Accra. INNOVATION CAPACITY BUILDING TRAINING FOR DIXCOVE YOUTH IN WESTERN REGION

Takoradi, September 21, 2017 – MTN partnered with ISPACE Foundation to hold a training program dubbed “ Capacity Building on Youth in Dixcove ” at the church of Pentecost building organized by ICODE in Dixcove in the Western Region of Ghana.     Dixcove is a fishing community in the Ahanta West District of Western Region of Ghana and the need for this program was to educate and empower the youth in the community to take up the challenge to make an impact in the society and turn their passion into meaningful change making activities. MTN FOUNDATION ENHANCES TEACHING AND LEARNING AT KOFORIDUA TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY WITH 90 SEATER E-LIBRARY

Accra, September 08, 2017 - MTN Ghana Foundation has commissioned a 90 seater e-library for the Koforidua Technical University in the Eastern region. The facility provides access to electronic sources of information including journals and electronic books from reputable databases and publishers. The e-library has 90 computers with internet access, providing students and teachers’ access to 10 academic databases and 19,000 e-journals. The facility also has an additional 20-seater sitting area for the teaching staff of the University. The e-library, which was set up by MTN Ghana Foundation in partnership with Koforidua Technical University was at the cost of GH¢560, 000.00, with MTN Ghana Foundation contributing GH¢240,000.00. The facility is expected to benefit over 6,895 students from the university.
