You took over the reins of the enterprise a couple of
years ago and your exploits have caught the attention of corporate Ghana. As
the first Ghanaian Chief Executive Officer, your tenure has been monumental and
rivalled the 21 years of the organization’s existence. No wonder you were
adjudged a top Executive in your industry; Telecom Service Executive of the
year earlier this year.
You have continued to steer your company to maintain its
enviable position as Ghana’s number one network by having a Top of Mind Awareness
of 57%, market leadership...
Mr. Asante was lauded for leading his team to
set another enviable record where MTN’s 4G service penetration rose to number
one with 59.7% market share within six months of commercial launch. “Notably,
customers can attest to your customer care programmes and improvements in the
distribution channels which have resulted in the enhancement of relationships
with subscribers… You never let your employers and predecessors down rolling
out impressive records which you and your organization continue to break.”
the citation further stated.
Receiving the Marketing Man of the Year
award, Mr Asante said: “MTN is bent on connecting every Ghanaian to the modern
world so as to ensure the country's socio-economic transformation. We cannot
rest until Ghana also attains a digital economy driving the efficiencies of ICT
and most importantly the transparency that comes with automated and digital
business."
He dedicated the awards to the committed
staff of MTN and all hard-working Ghanaians who strive to protect their
professional integrity while pursuing excellence in their professional
pursuits.
