MTN GHANA COMMISERATES WITH KUMASI ASANTE KOTOKO

Accra, July 13, 2017 - MTN Ghana is saddened by news of an accident involving players and officials of Asante Kotoko who were returning to Kumasi after a football match at the El-Wak Stadium in Accra.


We are even more saddened by the passing of the Assistant Equipment Officer, Mr. Kofi Asare, as a result of the accident. We offer our heartfelt condolence to the family of Mr. Kofi Asare, and we pray that his soul finds rest in the life beyond.
A delegation from MTN met club officials and visited the accident victims at the Komfo Anokye Accident and Emergency unit.

As headline sponsor of the Asante Kotoko Football Club, MTN stands with the team during this challenging period and pledge our support to management, the playing body, technical team and supporters of the Porcupine Warriors across the world.

MTN FOUNDATION ENHANCES TEACHING AND LEARNING AT KOFORIDUA TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY WITH 90 SEATER E-LIBRARY

Accra, September 08, 2017 - MTN Ghana Foundation has commissioned a 90 seater e-library for the Koforidua Technical University in the Eastern region. The facility provides access to electronic sources of information including journals and electronic books from reputable databases and publishers. The e-library has 90 computers with internet access, providing students and teachers’ access to 10 academic databases and 19,000 e-journals. The facility also has an additional 20-seater sitting area for the teaching staff of the University. The e-library, which was set up by MTN Ghana Foundation in partnership with Koforidua Technical University was at the cost of GH¢560, 000.00, with MTN Ghana Foundation contributing GH¢240,000.00.
