MTN Group CEO Mr. Rob Shuter pays a day’s working visit to Ghana
MTN Ghana hosted Group CEO Rob Shuter when he paid a one-day working visit to the Opco to
interact with management, staff and MTN trade partners.
During Rob’s visit, the Executive team had the opportunity to extensively review the Ghana business
strategy and discussed ways of improving the Net Promoter Score.
Joined by WECA VP Karl Toriola and the MTN Ghana Exco, Mr Shuter visited some trade locations in
Accra to interact with vendors and MTN customers.
In his engagement with staff, Rob expressed his appreciation to MTN Ghana for the warm reception
he received and congratulated MTN Ghana for its performance over the years. Commending the
team for a solid performance in Q1 2017, he expressed confidence in the opco’s ability to sustain
growth.
He also encouraged staff to continue in their efforts at making MTN a great company since successful
organizations are characterized by the technology they use, people management, customer focus and
how the story of the brand is told, amongst other things.
Mr. Ebenezer Asante, CEO of MTN Ghana, described Rob Shuter as a very practical, hands on person
who has deep insights on how to leverage digital revolution. “I have personally gleaned some lessons
from him and I know the business will benefit from his leadership”, he said.
